More About Being Right Than Being Curious
Every time Bitcoin goes down, I notice how some people seem relieved or even happy, not in a positive way, but in a quiet “see, you were wrong” kind of way. It does not feel like concern or curiosity or a desire to understand what is actually happening. It feels more like wanting someone else to be wrong, rugged, or disappointed so a long held opinion can feel validated.
I do not think this reaction is really about Bitcoin. It shows up in markets, technology, and change in general. Being right is comforting. It protects identity. Staying open, especially when something challenges your worldview, takes more effort and humility.
Price moves. Volatility is visible. But convictions are where the real work is. They should be tested, questioned, and refined, not defended at all costs.
